October 10, 2009 Lake Charles, La. will host an event that you do not wish to miss!!! Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden and unexplained death of an infant under one year of age. Another name for SIDS is “crib death.” However, cribs do not cause SIDS. In Louisiana, about 60-80 babies per year die of SIDS. It is also the number one cause of unexpected death in infants under one year of age. SIDS awareness is critical to our children’s survival, and remember a “Healthy Mom” = a “Healthy Baby”…
