Sub Topic: Unstable people won’t last the sands of time

Discussion:  A good building contractor knows the importance of having a solid foundation regardless of what types of materials that may be used for the structure such as wood, concrete or even brick; the base of the building must have materials that can last through the sands of time and not be easily broken or destroyed when the storms and floods come against it. We need to learn how to build upon the “solid rock” and let our faith be steadfast and unmovable in God, not wavering with every wind and doctrine; nor should we follow and believe those who lack wisdom and have shown little or no stability in their teachings and lifestyle. The value of a house is not only determined by its size and materials, but by its environment and the land upon which it stands.

Scripture Text: (Matthew 7:24)  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (7:25)  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
