Discussion: This young man dreamed of greatness, he envisioned that he would be successful beyond his father’s inheritance, and that all of his siblings including his own father would eventually be subservient to him one day; perhaps one of his greatest errors was that he mentioned this fact to his own kinsmen who were horrified at his arrogance! How dare this young impulsive upstart think he was better than the rest of his brothers, something would have to be done about it and soon before he gained more favor and recognition from Jacob his father.
