Many times we have good intentions, but because of a lack of knowledge and/ or we simply don’t yield ourselves to God, we find ourselves in the midst of doing those things that are unacceptable to God, even though our intentions may have been good.  Good works will not save you, however your good works do have a powerful influence. That is why it is important that we seek to do God’s will and not our own.  We can listen to the advice and counsel of others, and it may not be in our best interest so we must be careful to always seek the counsel of God in all things, that we make wise decisions rather than selfish ones after our own lusts and desires.  Scripture Text: Genesis 25:23-34, Genesis Chapter 27, Genesis Chapter 32.
