Episode #43 Guest Hall Of Fame Jockey Jorge Velasquez

Jockey World Radio hosted by Frankie Lovato and co-host Torrie Needham with this weeks special guest, the legendary Hall of Famer Jorge Velasquez. Jorge, a winner of nearly 6,800 races during his career, winner of the 1981 Kentucky Derby aboard Pleasant Colony, has won many other major events in racing such as the Preakness Stakes, Breeders' Cup Classic, and was awarded the George Wolf Memorial Award 1986. One of Jorge's most notable memories with racing fans was being the jockey of the great Alydar who was second to Affirmed during the Triple Crown series in 1978. This rivalry during the Triple Crown between Affirmed and Alydar was one of the most historic moments in racing.
