The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta and the gentlemen of Phi Beta Sigma emerged  as winners of the 2015 Greek Step Show and Concert competition after thrilling performances. The event, held at the university’s clock tower center, was the highlight of weeklong Homecoming activities that took place from February 8-15, 2015.

The four-hour competition was attended by alumni, staff, students, and friends who filled all 400 seats on a chilly night. Food vendors provided burgers, hot dogs, fries, and most importantly hot chocolate to keep the crowd warm.

The audience watched attentively as various Greek organizations took to the floor and stepped their best in line with the disc jockey’s musical mix. The groups were judged by several FMU Greek alumni. The two winning organizations not only earned bragging rights for the whole year but they also received $1,000 checks each and engraved trophies.

R&B singer August Alsina closed the show with a 45-minute musical thriller as the crowd cheered and roared with enthusiasm. FMU student Khalinah Walker, summed up the event: “Even though I’m freezing out here I’m glad that I came tonight. The show gets better each year, I Love August Alsina and all the Greeks did a good job.”

The staff members are already planning for next year’s show and students are anticipating the event as well to see  who will win the Greek Show and who will be the entertainer.
