On Today's show, Michelle and Sonja host Brad Abraham, author of Mixtape. Mixtape tells the story of the rise and fall of the Alternative Rock era of the 1990s as experienced by five music-obsessed teens in their last year of high school. Struggling through the pains of growing up, and united by their love of the music found “left of the dial,” they learn that the bonds of friendship they thought would never break have already begun to crack and that everyone’s life, even theirs, has a soundtrack that will be with them even as those friendships fade. Featuring a soundtrack that includes The Pixies, Joy Division, David Bowie, The Clash, Jane’s Addiction and R.E.M., the first issue of this comic book series made its debut in stores this month.
