The Tampa Bay Rays selected former Wichita St. Shocker Casey Gillaspie with the 20th overall pick in the first round of 2014 MLB Player Draft. The switch-hitting first baseman had middle of the lineup potential as a slugger and could give the struggling Rays offense an instant boost if given an opportunity this season.
