Dishing With the Bishop

Bishop Michael L. Smith, Sr., a native of Clinton, Louisiana, is the Senior Pastor and Founder of New Covenant Christian Center in Baker, LA and Jericho International Ministries in Baton Rouge, LA.  

An entrepreneur, Bishop Smith operated his own art business for three years and worked in the insurance field for eight years.  While striving for economic achievement, his thirst for God increased.  He sought tutelage and in 2002 he became a candidate for the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

On June 28, 2013, Bishop Smith was elevated and consecrated to the Holy office of Bishop in the Lord's Church by which Kingdom Covenant Fellowship International Ministries was established.

Bishop Smith can be seen every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on The Victory & Hope TV Broadcast and heard every Tuesday & Thursday at 8:30 a.m. on The Sound of Praise Radio Broadcast, 1550 AM WPFC.  

Bishop Smith is married to the lovely and multi-talented Lady Dionne Smith.  They have two wonderful children, Victoria and Michael II.
