The Tyler Rose. Legendary Houston Oilers Hall of Fame running back Earl Campbell is the guest for our Legends Of The Game feature. E.C. recalls his career with the Luv Ya Blu Houston Oilers drafted and coached by Bum Phillips. The 1977 Heisman Trophy winner discusses his two biggest influences being those of Jim Brown and O.J. Simpson. The speed, power and punishing style Earl ran with was unparalled at the time and the NFL Rookie of The Year in 1978 vividly recalls his goal line collision with Oakland Raiders Jack Tatum as well as with Mean Joe Greene of the AFC rival Pittsburgh Steelers. Mr. Earl Campbell is truly a class act on and off the gridiron as he stresses education for today's athletes to become all around business men as he today owns and operates his own company, Earl Cambell Meat Products, with his son Tyler.
