What is COMPEER?

Today I will be chatting with a young woman who is making a big difference in the lives of people who have mental illnesses..Her name is Katie, She works with and agency that was founded more than 30 years ago here in Rochester, NY and now has chapters in most US States as well as a couple of foreign countries..

She will tell you that having a mental illness is not the end of the road for anyone and how through the COMPEER VOLUNTEER MATCH program you can  assist people who are rebuilding their lves by helping with as litle as one hour a week committment.
