Exclusive Interview with Shaune Forrest of St Mary Jamaica

Shaune Forrest aka Shaune Songz is a writer, musical artist & director. He was born March 14, 1989 in Annotto Bay, which is a town in the parish of Saint Mary, Jamaica. Shaune Forrest is the son of Shane St Patrick Forrest & Christine Lynch both from St Mary, Jamaica. Shaune grew up in Cromwell land St Mary where at around age 9 he began writing his girlfriend poems. He never took music seriously till his brother Stephen Forrest made a music group called FutureYouths. Back then Shaune Songz was known as Ajohn, the brothers learned to compose their own beats and self-record. From 2005 Shaune Songz has been performing at various local shows. After failing to impress the judges on a Digicel Rising Star Audition, Shaune decided that he would perfect his craft. In June 2014 he reappeared to the music scene with his hit single Honestly, an gospel inspired song. Thus his will power and determination can only result in growth and success. 2015 sparked new connections. Shaune collaborated with various writers and artists such as DJ Broshone, Blunt Queen and other Indie Artists, which led to songs like Wave The Hand & All Nite. The video to his hit single PartyMode was directed by Shaune Songz himself.
