UDL: Further Into the Frontier of the Holy Qur’an (“5a”)

55:  1. (Allah) Most Gracious! 

       2. It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 

       3. He has created man: 

       4. He has taught him speech (and Intelligence)

Of the many ways that these verses can be read one of them is a list of things done by Allah

         2. He taught the Qur'an. 

         3. He created man: 

         4. He taught man speech (and Intelligence)

Another one of them is a path of development for the Prophet and the Arabs of his time.

         2. He taught the Qur'an in the 7th century 

         3. He created man: Brought the Arabs out of Savagery [Men out of Animals] 

         4. He taught man speech (and Intelligence) Made them Wise and Eloquent
