Carol Purroy was named Woman of the Year in Publishing (2010) by the National Association of Professional Women, and listed in National Register's Who's Who, has had numerous vocations, all of which led to her career as Writer and Publisher. Purroy was Publisher, Editor and Chief Writer of articles and personal profiles for senior magazines in San Francisco, and has written numerous books, nonfiction as well as fiction. One of her most important missions in life is encouraging and assisting people in writing and getting their life stories into print. To that end, she wrote and published YOUR LIFE YOUR LEGACY, and her own stories, titled, THAT'S LIFE. She has numerous interests and avocations, among them, volunteering at senior centers and at-risk teen centers. She was born on a farm in California's Central Valley and grew up in Fresno. (Class of 1953, Fresno High School.) She married young and quit school to raise her family, but started college the day her youngest child entered Kindergarten. She earned a BA (Anthropology), teaching credentials (K-12), and an MA and most of a PhD (Psychology). She has lived abroad (Germany, Sri Lanka, Puerto Rico) and traveled the world. She has three sons and one granddaughter, and lives in Reno, Nevada, USA. * Including: Psychotherapist & Clinical Hypnotherapist, Past-life Therapist, Teacher, Disaster Relief Worker, Homemaker/Mother.
