Born to Loving Mother and Evangelist, Machelle Slade in San Diego California, Wizdom Phoenix began to show an interest in music at the age of six years old. Her singing debut took place at the San Diego Meadow Brook Apartments Recreation Center in a talent show where she sang “My Guy", a 1964 number-one hit single recorded by Mary Wells, written and produced by Smokey Robinson of The Miracles for the Motown label. By the age of fourteen, Wizdom Phoenix was successfully  covering artists such as Ce Ce Winnans, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Under the direction and guidance of her Mother, Wizdom Phoenix began participating in church productions and performing at local Christian venues around town. From there Wizdom Phoenix began writing and singing backgrounds for various solo artists in the San Diego area which led her to Chico, CA where she recorded her first demo. In 2004, Wizdom phoenix moved to Las Vegas where she began singing background for Julius Williams. With this opportunity and a solid demo under her belt she gained the attention of Blakk Ragg Music Groups C.E.O., Mario Grubbs. Working closely  with the producer and his team,  perfecting her writing and recording skills, Wizdom Phoenix recorded her first self-titled EP. That EP soon gained the attention of Prince Linzy, the President and Owner of Money Active Records, a bicoastal  Independent Record Label out of Las Vegas, Nevada and Miami, Florida.
