Dennis Nelson is a platinum recording artist who has a colorful pallet of music compellations.  He is an instrumentalist who challenges melodic composition.  He infuses contemporary elegance with harmonious smoothness. His musical influences are trailblazers and can be indentified within the rhythmic strums of his guitar.  As a jazz/fusion lead guitarist, he received his formal academic preparation from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating from college with a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz, he toured with various artists ranging from Otis Day and The Knights (from the movie Animal House), to jazz trumpet master Tom Browne. He has also performed with great legends such as Ray Charles and The Temptations.

After settling in Los Angeles, California, Dennis was invited to write for the late, great, rock-n-roller and Academy-Award winning Robert Palmer. That year, Robert Palmer’s album “Riptide” went Platinum and sold over 1,000,000 copies. That same year, Dennis and his writing partner at that time, Tony Haynes, had the second single on the album “Hyperactive”.  Otis Williams, founder of The Temptations and a long time friend, producer and songwriting partner for over 17 years was a positive influence in Dennis’ career. In 2000, The National Recording of Arts and Science congratulated Dennis on his production and song writing on the “Ear-Resistible” CD; The Temptations won a Grammy for Best R&B Traditional Vocals that year.
