HAVE MERCY LORD! PSALMS 51 God’s mercy means His pity, compassion, and kindness toward people. His mercy shows up in the believer’s life at salvation, and then God continues to show mercy in forgiveness. Mercy triumphs over judgment. David wrote these Psalms. He knew he had done wrong, but he also knows that God was and is a merciful God.
We are living in a time where we really need God to have mercy and heal our lands. This pandemic has taken many, many lives and only God can heal us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God himself is telling us who say we know Him, Christians if we would humble ourselves and pray. It is praying time. People are leaving here by the thousands and there is nothing man can do to stop it, but those of us who know the value of prayer, that prayer changes things.
Matthew 18:19,20: Agreeing together in prayer with others
“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

Jesus made this statement to emphasize the power of prayer together with a prayer partner or a group.  God,  highlight the power of prayer with others as a form of spiritual agreement in prayer.

James 5:13-18: Healing prayer and the effectiveness of the prayers of the righteous

Let me encourage you today that we come together and humble ourselves and pray that God would hear us and have mercy, compassion on us, and heal our lands. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
