FAITH ACTIVES THE PROMISES OF GOD!

I want to encourage you to use this time of sheltering to activate or reactivate your faith in the promises of God. What is faith except for the confidence in God’s word?  “1 john 5:14-15. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we ask. The secret to successful prayer is knowing God’s will. Scripture gives us the will of God. Praying scriptural promises becomes an effective tool. Promise: a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen. ACTIVATE: to make active or more active. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
According to one account, there are 3573 promises in the Bible. Isaiah 40:31 says, “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  While God calls us every single day to not be afraid, to simply trust Him in everything can be difficult. The Christian life is a constant battle between fear and trust; anxiety and trust, and doubt and confidence. When we chronically worry, we get so lost in what we think will happen that we lose sight of our reality.

PRAYER: Joshua 1:9 says, Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Amen.
