STANDING ON THE WORD OF GOD!

All my christian life I have heard people say, "I am standing on the word of God. " I wondered what were they saying? But after learning to live this spiritual life, I have learned and yet learning what it means to stand on the word of God.  Paul tells Timothy, "Don't Let FEAR or shame keep you from standing firm in God's Word. In other words, don't get weak knees spiritually!
Read. 2 Timothy 1:13-18
13, Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14, That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. 15, This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 16, The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain; 17, but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very zealously and found me. 18, The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day--and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus. It’s difficult to take a stand for God’s truth when you are overly concerned with what people think about you. When we worry about what other people think, we let them control us. We waste a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what other people want us to be. Then, we waste a lot of time and energy trying to become like that rather than just being what God made us to be.Colossians 1:23. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.Eph.6:11.This phrase is made up of the following 3 Greek words: Good- Deposit - Guard. What is the good deposit, or the good thing entrusted to us?  God's Word as it is! God's Pure unadulterated Word!
