He collaborated with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert in studies of psychedelic drugs at Harvard in the 1960s and co-authored The Psychedlic Experience. His books include The Well of Remembrance, The Unfolding Self and Green Psychology. He has edited collections on ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms. His most recent books are Birth of a Psychedelic Culture (with Ram Dass), and MindSpace and TimeStream.
