#EWWNRADIO 619-639-4709 (SUN – FRI 10PM EST / 7PM PST) brings you “Music is My Ministry” – “Tips to Relax Your Vocal Cords” Keep your voice at its optimal – Before practice or performing make sure you warm up your voice with breathing exercises and singing the scales. Keep a bottle of room temperature water on hand; this helps to keep the vocal chords relaxed. Breathe from your diaphragm and not your chest. This is done by inhaling air deep down into your abdominal cavity. Honey coats your throat and relieves soreness, over worked and stressed vocal cords. Do not drink caffeinated beverages this will constrict your vocal chords. Avoid dairy products and chocolate, this can potentially produce a buildup of unwanted mucus. Now we are ready to blow so open your mouth and sing out your soul. Here are a few scriptures to help you along the way – Psalm 118:14, Psalm 145:7 and Psalm 66:2–4
