Some say purpose is a calling. Purpose pushes us to a self-realization. Sometimes there’s a purpose behind our passion. Passion can be admirable and optimistic but moreover seen, it can be dangerous and destructive and self-limiting. Basically without purpose to anchor passion, then passion has no direction and life without passion is useless. We all have dreams but some people live out their dreams while others dream out their lives. The things that we are born to do we are passionate about – It drives us to accomplishment but in time, without a purpose we forget or feel that we can’t accomplish it. If we forget our purpose, now is the time to search deep within ourselves – rekindle and nurture our passion for it. We are created to know God and one of our purposes is to get to know God. Depending on how we channel our passion will tell us we are in line to what God has called us to do. So is your passion (energy); supportive/positive or destructive/negative? Psalms 62: 5-6 speaks of passion–My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. Ecclesiastes 3:1 speaks of purpose–To everything there’s a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
