#EWWNRADIO 619-639-4709 EVERY SUN-FRI 10PM EST / 7PM PST  Tonight’s topic is on “Good Meetings” Punctuality is the theme of success! Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. This is also a form of respect. Be prepared before the meeting. Dress to impress – cleanliness is next to Godliness; bad breath to body odor is a quick way to end a meeting. Where the meeting is conducted is what sets the tone to how you should dress. Have all paperwork/documents ready for presentation. Have your pen and paper to take valuable notes. This action tells the speaker you have his undivided attention. Introduce yourself with a firm hand shake and always maintain eye contact. Come with an open mind; you don’t know it all if you did you would not be there. Conduct yourself in a professional manner; if you display proper etiquette, the message will be sent. Turn off your cell phone/pager or keep it on vibrate and avoid texting and if you’re old school, this means this turn off your beeper; this does not show signs that you are important but all signs of being disrespectful. Stay focused, stay on subject and pay attention to what is said and have a plan of action. Gestures, facial expression, body positioning and a 6th sense will fill you in on what is not said. If contracts are involved, meetings should stay within a 2 hours. Focus meetings should be no more than 1 hour. Before you leave make sure you have all paperwork, contacts and business cards in hand.
