You will spend a ridiculous amount of money on catering, photographs, getting the venue etc. but when it comes to hiring a DJ – the source of the entertainment, that’s when you want to get cheap. Do you realize that the DJ will do the introductions, announcements and keep the overall cadence of your event? Make sure your DJ has an extensive data base of music. Make sure his music covers a variety of genres. Keep in mind that a good DJ will have to be booked anywhere from 6 to 12 months in advance especially if you need them to serve as an MC. As usual get your contract out and read it carefully before signing. Let your DJ know what you want. This is a business and you are paying for their services.
