Entertainment Worldwide Network 619-639-4709 10PM EST / 7PM PST)brings you “Ladies Night” - “How to identify and solve conflicts at home” Conflict can be good so long as it’s resolved constructively. We must first recognize and differentiate between the two types of conflict. There is “Internal Conflict” the kind that makes you unhappy for no apparent reason and “External conflict” which are conflicts with others. Once that is established we can move forward in finding the best approach when dealing with conflict. Have an open dialect when communicating with your family and be assertive when speaking. Assertive just means self-confident in what you are saying. Assertive communication is getting your message across to someone and being respectable to their well-being while doing so. The great thing about assertive people is they stay focused on the situation and they don’t easily get upset. Practice being assertive until it becomes second nature. Bottom line is finding a solution. We may have to come to a compromise to get along with each other and to improve our relationships or we may have to collaborate with each other, which is to view our differences as strengths and utilizes our differences to reach a goal that everyone can agree upon. Join me as we discuss conflict and solutions so we can become a stronger family unit.
