Entertainment Worldwide Network 619-639-4709(EVERY SUN, THRU FRI 10PM EAST COAST / 7PM WEST COAST) brings you “SPOKEN WORD FOREVER” and tonight's show is “Be a Better Spoken Word Artist.” To be a better Spoken Word Artist is no easy task. To deliver each word with effortlessness and fluidity take practice and time. Study other practitioners work while taking a deeper look at your own.  Learn to properly enunciate each word that is spoken. Your poetry stands alone; it has no music to buffer your words. It has no back up vocalist to harmonize and keep tempo with you. It’s just you, your mic, the stage and your audience. Your poem is the music; it sets the stage and tone for your lyrical story. Your lyrics are the vocals that sing the verses of your story. Silence is golden-like a biscuit sopping up gravy is how you want your audiences mind saturated with your every spoken libretto, so remember to pause between your lines, this will allow your audience to devour every word. Other than the inflections in your voice, your mic is another tool so use it wisely. If you’re too close to your mic, your voice tends to be louder and sometimes muffled. Spoken Word relies on clarity, consonants and vowels, so check the levels of the treble and bass of your mic. Memorize your lines before you go on stage. Get honest feedback about your performance and lastly smile at your audience. Being a better Spoken Word Artist will put you above the rest. Believe in yourself and the possibilities for your successful future.
