Ladies Night” tonight's show is “Does Business Mix with Pleasure?” Most will not dispute that any combination of business and pleasure usually goes down in failure; however there are a few that have built major corporations and successful businesses from mixing the two. So what is the secret formula? It requires careful strategy and skillful weaving to produce a delicate tapestry of balance. No matter which side of the coin you choose, it is a required business skill that if not performed and carried out properly can land you in a whole lot of… 1st professional functions stays at the job and the fun is held in another location. Never mix up the two or you are out of the game. There are certain thing that are feasible and others that are just not practical. Know what they are and keep them in constant thought.  2nd Do not play Russian Roulette – know the places your adversaries, co-workers and clients go for entertainment and make sure that if you are there your hair us up you are in business attire and you are in production mode. Never be caught off guard. It will cost you your job/reputation. 3rd Read between the lines – taking people at face value on Friday night can cost you a lot come Monday morning. Professional agreements made in a social environment do not hold water. It will do you good to remember that so don’t be mad because I already told you.  Business deals, contracts, “The Fine Print” and signatures need to be hammered out and bolted down in the office. 4th Those that are successful when mixing business with pleasure is simply because they know how to make deals, know their boundaries, know when to work hard and when to play harder. They curtail and co-exist between the two, so if you can’t, I suggest you don’t do it. You never know who is watching.
