Tonight’s topic is on “What make a good Agent.” Agents are also called Booking Agents, Talent Agents or Music Agents. Agents make Live music happen. They find employment for Artists/Bands, negotiate where and when the Artist/Band will perform and the monetary stipulations of contracts. They network with Music Promoters and Venue Owners to schedule live performances for the Artists/Bands. Agents help further careers by scheduling public appearances and represent Artists/Musician based on their marketability. Agents arrange contracts with Promoters listing compensation, rider, guest list and equipment to be used/needed.  Agents do not differentiate they remain the same whether booking shows with small Indi Bands or the Major Labels.
