Education, How Necessary Is It In This Rough Economy Today?

The American dream to gain a quality education that will promote financial, mental health, spiritual and other quality attributes which allow you a better life. What about when times are difficult in the American economy, larger corporate America jobs moving out of the USA and into other countried and it affects your ability to land quality employment in the area of your education? Today many people are becoming just as successful without the BA or Master's degree. Is attending vocational or technical training just as prevalent? Is it necessary today to earn an extensive education and what are the odds of gaining employment in that area or possibly not at all?
