Stephanie Love is a mother of four with ages ranging from 6 to 18 years old. Although Stephanie has experienced traumatic situations in her life, she has chosen to allow those situations to make her the strong woman that she is today. She gave birth to her first child at the age of 16 and dropped out of school at 17 in order to become gainfully employed so she could provide for her son. Stephanie didn’t give up on her education. She earned her GED and pursued her Cosmetology license.
Stephanie was raised in Millington, TN and has now resided in the Frayser community for the past 9 years. Ms. Love has been an active part in her community by serving on the Shelby County head Start Policy Council as Vice Chair, served as Vice Chair of Frayser Neighborhood Council and she is currently the Shelby County School Board Commissioner for District 3. Stephanie is a woman who believes in her community, parents and children. Her main objective is to show parents that no matter what they have been through, with the help from God all things will work out for your good. Stephanie says “I am just like the average parent in the community with the same issues. I want to help parents find the power they were born with and use it in a productive way to demand better for ourselves, our family and especially the education of our children.”
