Daniel Beasley of HSLDA

On today's show, Rhea interviews Daniel Beasley about the mission of the Home School Legal Defense Associations (HSLDA). He also shares the ways HSLDA can benefit homeschooling families across the nation. 

The Home School Legal Defense Association was established as a nonprofit ministry to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms.

BIO:

Dan Beasley serves HSLDA members in 13 states and the District of Columbia. He grew up in Nebraska, where he was homeschooled through high school. He went on to earn a juris doctorate from Oak Brook College of Law in 2012 and is completing a master's degree in applied biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute.

While in law school from 2008 through 2012, Dan worked as a legal assistant for HSLDA. After graduation, he spent three and a half years practicing law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before rejoining HSLDA's legal team as a staff attorney in 2015. 

Dan and his wife, Bethany (a homeschool graduate and photographer), plan to homeschool their two young children.
