Episode 3

Everyone is talking about Software Defined Networking (SDN) these days, but what does it really mean? Is SDN the same a virtual networking? Is it something you can try "just a little bit" or does SDN mean a forklift upgrade for your networking infrastructure?

These are the questions that many are asking right now and Interop Radio has the answers. In a special two-part show, we're going to talk with Brian Chee, a noted networking expert and long-time member of the Interop NOC Team, about the technologies and products that make up SDN. By the time we're through, you should have a much better understanding of what SDN is all about and how (or whether) it can do great things for your company.

This week, we're going to be talking about the basic terminology and technology of SDN, along with a frank look at where SDN is in the adoption chain. Next week we'll continue the discussion with details of how the parts fit together, who the big players are, and how SDN can fit into your enteprise network.
