What Has the UK Figured Out About BIRTH that the US Has Not?

Birth in the US has become very misunderstood.  We used to think that birth was something that happened naturally, that women could do it (they were made to do it), and the need for doctors and medical interventions was minimal at best.  Families had control over their birthing environment (because it was usually their home), and birth was something to look forward to without fear.  Now, in the US, hospitals have become the norm and doctors and lawyers are controlling where and how you are allowed to birth.  Fear and greed has taken over the birthing industry (yes, it’s become an industry), and families are suffering for it.  The UK, however, has realized that the best place to have a baby is not necessarily in the hospital.  Listen to this very important show as Dr Pauline  and Catherine discuss a NY Times article about how birth professionals in the UK are advising mothers that home birth can be as safe or safer than giving birth in the hospital.  As always, we welcome your comments and questions through Facebook (Dunamas Center Ministries), and Twitter (@YourDunamasLife).
