Didi Gregorious is expected to miss the month of April due to an injury he suffered in the WBC. This is EXACTLY one of the reasons WHY I don't like the WBC! You're playing for a foreign country, ya get hurt and now the Yanks are on the hook for healing ya. In the WBC, you're playing at full speed - right out of the gate - not ease into it like you would in spring training -- hitters aren't facing 90+MPH fastballs until a couple weeks into SP.  If he would've gotten hurt during SP, fine... OK... whatever... it's on the Yankees time... that's what he gets paid for - to play for the Yankees... NOT Team Netherland!

CHW - SS Tim Anderson signs a four yr extension with 2 club option yrs making the deal a total of 6yr $51.5M... what makes this "news" is that according to Ken Rosenthal, and we all love Ken, who doesn't? Anyways, Tim would be the highest paid player with LESS than 1 year of service. While 'n the surface' it sounds like a big deal... and y'all know me, if it was, I'd be bytchin about this... but it's not... even at its max, 6yr $51.5M... that's only $8.58M per yr... for someone who's only 24, hit .283 and went 10 for 12 in steals with quality D, that's not too shabby. Now, if he'd just cut down his 9-1 strikeout to walk rate and raise his OBP (only .306 - with a .283BA, this should be around .360 or higher), he could even be in the discussion of fantasy baseball pickups.

David Ross - I heard that he was gonna be on Dancing With The Stars but, I did not see it. However, I did see a still shot. All I gotta say is KUDOS to him wearing a Cubs shirt AND from what I heard, dancing to "Go Cubs Go!"! FREAKING AWESOME!! THAT was smart! VERY SMART on their part! Get the fans early and vote often & no matter what happens - they'll still get a decent amount of votes. Gotta love David! Now he's done it all...
