Everyday KC - Tom & Harry

This week celebrates our 50th show, and 52nd week (one year, baby!) on the air. 

So, who better to have on than our only "three-peat" guest, Kansas City historian Terence O'Malley? Terence has just released his third feature-length documentary film about Kansas City history ... "Tom & Harry - The Boss and the President." This is the first documentary film to go deep into the unlikely, often politically precarious, but ever loyal relationship between one of history's most honest politicians and one of history's most corrupt political bosses - Tom Pendergast and Harry S. Truman. 

Paraphrasing what Edward R. Murrow said about "sin" in Kansas City - If you wanted to see political corruption, no need to go to Chicago. The worst case in US history was in Kansas City, during the Pendergast machine's reign.
