He got his forst acting part for the TV show "Fame" (1982) then appeared opposite Johnny Depp in Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street. He joined forces with Dr. JohnRoger to create Scott JR Productions and their feature, Spiritual Warriors. The film was inspired by Dr. JohnRoger’s bestselling book Spiritual Warrior. The film premiere in Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto, Caracas, Lima, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Tel Aviv, and Cairo. Spiritual Warriors has also been officially selected for international film festivals in Toronto, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Cartagena and Hamburg. The story is about the spiritual awakening of the self. “We wanted to tell an engaging, universal story, filled with adventure and human drama, and reaching into the metaphysical without being preachy,” says Garcia. Dr John-Roger is a well renowned spiritual teacher and this movie dramatizes some of the principles in his book "Spiritual Warrior; the Art of Spiritual Living". For over 40 years, he has traveled the world guiding people to find the Spirit within themselves, teaching how to live a healthy, loving, peaceful and rewarding life. In 1968, he founded the nondenominational Church of the Movement of SpiritualInner Awareness, (MSIA), sharing teachings of Soul Transcendence, which is becoming aware of oneself as a Soul and as one with God, not as a theory but as a living reality.
