Week 8 Preview: MJD down for the count?

Injuries can make fantasy owners weep openly or jump for joy.. this past week we have a few injuries on fantasy relevant players and updates on ongoing issues. We'll continue our discussion of trends and look forward to week 8's matchups. 

Our projections are proving to be very accurate - for those of you who do projections yourself (whether arbitrarily or with some kind of formula) how do you apply modifications for/against the player based on outside variables? We'll discuss the best ways to measure intangibles like individual/team trends, injuries to key defensive players, etc.
