Nell Bio:
The Bay Area rapper Nell rises up from Oakland, California. This clever wordsmith began his journey as a writer/poet while in college performing for his classmates. As a teenager Nell began listening to rap and hip hop music; memorizing and reciting the lyrics from his favorite artists. His influences at that time were LL Cool J, Too Short, Snoop Dogg, and in later years Eminem. As time went on his biggest influences became his children, family, and his dreams of giving them the life that he never had.
After college and the birth of his first child Nell decided to start working on his music. In 2006 he went into the studio for the first time and recorded a song titled “Music is My Life.” The song laid the foundation for his career as it illustrated the past, present, and future aspirations that to this day, he continues to strive towards as an artist. Over the next few years Nell went moved onto writing and recording verses with other artist and doing his own freestyles over beats as he continued perfecting his craft.
Unfortunately, responsibilities and struggles forced Nell to take a break from the music aspect of his life. Now in 2018 he’s back stronger than ever. His newly released single with singer Stunt titled “Don’t Play Wit It” was released earlier this year. Since the release of the song and video it has been viewed over 2,000 times online through various social media sites and continues to climb. Time2Grind radio in New York premiered the song during one of its promotional contest where it was given an overall B+ rating.
Since then Nell has gone on to perform at various venues to include opening up for Troy Ave in San Diego.
