ABOUT T. L.
Following the success of the smash hit “Gettin Mo Money Than You” (including a video which continues to garner over half-a-million views on YouTube) from his debut LP The T. L. Williams Experience, T. L. spent the past 2 years playing shows around the country with grammy-award winning artists such as Rhymefest; as well as sharing the stages with the likes of Aaron Carter, Dreezy, and Taylor Bennett; and starting the paradign-shifting arts organization symphony of change.
?When T. L. decided it was time to start recording his second album, the songs he’d written centered around an unapologetically free notion - love, empowerment, fearlessness, and celebrating your individuality. These songs culminated in The New Normal, a diverse collection of futuristic funk, the recording of which marks the reboot of the legendary Chi-Sound Records. The label was founded in 1976 by Carl Davis who mentored T. L. shortly before his passing in 2012. T. L. was recently appointed EVP in the summer of 2016.
