Ty was born in the City of Sumter in South Carolina, where his love for music stemmed. He began doing talent shows at area churches and schools in and around his home town. Ty brought together a quartet named “The Sons of Harmony” where they collectively chose him as lead vocalist. They performed at many talent shows and competitions. After high school he moved to Minnesota to continue his education in the music field at Brown, College while there he joined a trio group and recorded with experienced producers such as; James “Poppa” Guer of “The Time”and others. He also promoted and toured with “The Bad Boyz of R&B V.I.P.” which took him under their wings and taught him about the music business, more than he ever imagined. While interning with this independent music group, Ty began to DJ at “Club Tropix” in downtown Minneapolis with Eric James and obtained notoriety at this club as a rising entertainment genius. After establishing himself at the club as a DJ, Ty began working and developing his self as a solo artist. He then moved back to his hometown in South Carolina and started performing in Columbia, as well as recording at Sumter’s Kiss FM Radio Station. Ty then added to his solo work efforts by winning a promotional bit with the Orlando based reality show “Back to Reality” where he performed weekly at Orlando’s club Blue Room. Ty launched an independent release of the EP album “EarCandy”, which can be found on I tunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and Amazon stores. Ty is a true smooth “crooner like” artist. Ty Hannah, a Mac Law music BMI songwriter has advanced in his career, performing live and opening for major acts such as; Ice-T and DJ Prostyle, as well as, exhibiting his talent at large club venues throughout the country.
