There has been so many questions of why to charge for book reviews: should they be free? Doesn't the author pay for shipping and the books--this should be payment? Book clubs charge membership fees. What more goes in detail with clubs? Why it should not be free? What are some of the expenses and usage of fees? Workshops, seminars are now teleseminars and podcasts that are rarely free--why do you believe they are charging now? Some do it for promotion and to showcase their expertise to sell products, services, and/or their books. Book reviews require disclaimers (disclosures) on websites and especially blogs. FTC guidelines updated December 1, 2009.
