Our discussion tonight is to challenge those in Christ; those claiming to be filled with the Holy Ghost; or those who don’t know the Lord and are plagued with thoughts of unworthiness for whatever reason or anyone who settles for what life has to offer. We want to challenge you the listening audience in these situations to think big and seek greatness. Greatness which entails using the Holy Ghost in you to embrace the knowledge you are somebody. You are also capable of making a difference in people’s lives, of achieving greatness. Especially the very people you unknowingly come in contact with on a daily basis. Greatness can be achieved through these people who some may be unwarranted or even purportedly undeserving of your acts of love and kindness. It is easy to be mean and hurtful and it is even easier when it is in retaliation of someone being mean to you. It is harder to and takes more work to be kind especially in those circumstances. It is a trick of the enemy to make you think you are not worthy; or not special; or you have purpose and self worth. David shares with us his self revelation in Psalm 139, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works. Finally, in tonight’s discussion we will use Paul’s writing as the backdrop and basis for the discussion using Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.” It is my prayer after tonight’s discussion you feel a little more self worth and using the power within in all of we are motivated to acts of greatness by making a difference in someone’s life. Even if it is something as simple as saying hello to a stranger; letting a person behind you in line, you allow them to go before you; or maybe it is helping the elderly with their groceries. The point is we have the power to do great and that is what we will explore in length.
