Rear Adm. Thomas J. McGinnis serves as Chief, Pharmaceutical Operations Directorate, responsible for pharmacy operations of the TRICARE Management Activity. He will be discussing MHS and FDA collaborations on the use of MHS databases to help FDA study the extent of unexpected side effects for newly approved pharmaceuticals, vaccines and medical devices. He will also discuss how MHS databases help prevent adverse events and therapeutic duplications with prescription medications.
