Guest: “TD” Barnes

Listen to this fascinating interview with Thornton D. “TD” Barnes on topics that center around the threat of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to America and the effects such an attack would have on our society––thrusting us back into the early 1800’s in just seconds!

Mr. Barnes’ new book, “EmP––the Nuclear Winter” joins his autobiography “My Odyssey to Area 51” as unique insider information n ever before chronicled.  The contents of his autobiography were declassified by the CIA in 2009.

At the opening of the show, Doctor Prepper recognizes “TD” “ as a “…classic military icon…,” who had the glorious opportunity to be a part of the aerospace industry, the NSA, the CIA,  and was literally behind the driver’s seat during other historical developments that are still classified today.   He was there at their inception and helped them develop into the “power behind the throne” of American military prowess.  Doctor Prepper remarked, “I could spend the first show of a series of shows just outlining all the things he’s done.”

After graduating from High School, TD joined the Army, serving in Military Intelligence in Korea.

Thereafter, TD attended numerous electronics schools in Army Air Defense systems, testing and developing missiles and radar guidance systems.  He served in Germany, then was sent to Officer Training at Fort Sill OK, where he sustained career-ending injuries during survival training.

He participated as a field engineer on the NASA High Range in Nevada during the test flights of the X-15, XB-70, Lunar Landing Vehicles, and other top-secret projects, and ultimately selected to be a member of the development team for a nuclear rocket engine for manned flight to Mars.
