This week with Colorado Ron and Bubba DaVinci We will be talking with our old friend Matt Morehouse: He and his wife Linda are very interesting. Both write for Backwoods Home and live fairly close to us in Eureka, Ca. They have a successful publishing company (we sell their popular ‘ Cast Iron Cuisine' book). Besides this and his interest in black powder shooting, Linda provided the following background info; Hes also very adept at baking outdoors in his Big Green Egg, which imparts a special flavor to his bread. He has owned, sailed, and raced a Freya 38, the lovely Candide. He once built a mountain home from lumber he felled and milled himself.His 209-acre off-grid recreational ranch, the Crow n Bear (once a working cattle ranch), is now in escrow and approaching closing.Hes an avid Harley rider, enjoying his Road King whenever weather permits. His newest passion is metal machining, on a South Bend lathe vintage 1928. I have one heck of an interesting guy (Linda Morehouse).
