Many Aspects of Emergency & Alternate Transportation

Automobiles (sedan, van, pickup, truck, etc.) are the obvious place to begin as they have many advantages.  It’s also important to know how to keep them going so that you can get out of the way of whatever is threatening you.  Keep in mind that “vehicles” are not just about evacuation, but they are a tool to help you get work done, especially for moving things and people for any number of reasons.

However, it is also important to know your options, to have backup and contingency plans.  There are many things that could shut down you “car” either temporarily or permanently.

In this program, a continuation of last week’s show, we explore some of the ways to be prepared to keep moving when the power has been off for a long period of time and fuel delivery has stopped.

This will also include alternative forms of transportation to have in mind and be preparing with now.  Preparation and practice are important to have in place before the car is out of gas or will no longer run at all.
