1st hour: Fri, Aug 26, 2011 This week your Family Garden Doctor explores options for growing your own food in additional ways, but always looking to keep it simple, inexpensive, and doing it in a minimum amount of space. Did you ever hear of a chicken tractor? How about a movable rabbit hutch? Just a small back yard will suffice. And instead of raising goats, why not own a tiny cow that is gentle, friendly, and gives lots of milk, but requires 1/3rd the space of a regular cow. And not to ignore the garden, well discuss cold frames and hot beds for starting and growing seedlings.

2nd hour: Fri, Aug 19, 2011 We had SO much interest last week in learning about greenhouses - and about growing during the winter - that we will be talking about that subject again this week! Your Family Garden Doctor promises to remove the complications, and the difficulty out of building and growing in greenhouses. He is building one himself in the next two weeks, so the subject is very much on his mind! Join us to learn how YOU can have your own greenhouse - for growing seedlings, extending your growing season, or even growing into and/or through the winter.

3rd hour: Fri, Aug 12, 2011 This week your Family Garden Doctor has the great privilege of interviewing Kathleen Omeal, who has some serious expertise in growing in a family-sized greenhouse. She says "I built my own 4 season cold greenhouses. I have (10) 30 foot long 4 foot and 6 ft wide beds . . . ". WOW, dont miss this for anything! Ill bet she can teach us how to REALLY feed our families in a small space - Im excited because Im just about to build my own greenhouse, so lets ALL get some great tips! "See" you soon.
