Old school R&B or HIP-HOP

In todays world of changing music, which one is better old school r&b or hip-hop. Where you have groups from the past that are still cranking out tours like Maze, The O'Jays, Manhattans and the list goes on, but I have to give props out to T.I., Ludacris, Too Short and others in the hip-hp game that are doing their thing. Cause I tell you man, that "Blow the Whistle by Too Short is the jam.
