The House of Faith N Fashion & Masami

Over 10 years ago, Masami began her fitness journey. She first stepped into a gym to take a cardio kickboxing class. Having recently given birth to her third child and well into her thirties, she lacked the basic stamina and fitness to finish the class. Since then, Masami has become a New York Golden Gloves Champion, the most well respected amateur boxing tournament, and an avid runner competing in her age group in long distance races including the New York City Marathon and Half Marathon.

Her life and fitness philosophy are one in the same and have guided her success. Simply put, to become good at what you do and refuse mediocrity, it is essential to be focused, committed, and dedicated. Shortly after that first humbling kickboxing class, Masami determined to excel in boxing. She was trained first by a former middle weight champion, Michael Olajide Jr., and later a legendary trainer responsible for dozens of world champions, Hector Roca. Under the guidance of two trainers, Masami has become a Golden Gloves Champion in 2006.

As a fitness instructor, Masami puts forth a similar approach of “hard work pays off”. As a certified Aerobox and Aero Impact Boxing Instructor, she is trained in the most original and rigorous form of boxing based aerobic exercises. Masami emphasizes importance of focus and commitment, and challenges her clients to work beyond their comfort zone and aerobic threshold, which is the key to changing body physique.

Masami is married with 3 children and lives in New York City. She holds a MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business as well as an MA from Boston University’s School of Mass Communication.
