This weekend marks the beginning of the Circle of Giving from November 12 – 19, 2010, The 2010 Circle of Giving will inspire, connect, and leave a legacy of respect for future generations. The mission of the PeaceBrokers to develop a strong network of international youth empowered to meet the needs of those youth in recovering communities. The weekend is designed to: 1. develop citizenship skills (value system) 2. renewal of thinking 3. empower youth to be self-sufficient 4. respect and honor the other and different cultures 5. develop leadership skills 6. develop negotiations, social, communication and entrepreneurial skills 7. request the youth to identify their needs and design projects that are practical, sustainable, small-scale, and replicable for implementation to meet the needs of youth in target countries/communities Founder, Ms. Blaauwgeers will also discuss her life as an author as well as her life story.
